UTOPIA CARE HEALTH CARE SERVICES

DOMICILIARY CARE SUPPORT (HOME CARE)

Domiciliary care is for anyone who wants to stay at home while receiving the treatment they need. This type of care can be beneficial to people of all ages. This treatment can include recuperation, convalescence, and rehabilitation, amongst other areas.

What does a domiciliary care worker do?

Domiciliary care workers, also known as home carers or live-in carers, help to keep people living independently in their own homes. Their role is focused on the individual and their needs, offering bespoke care services to enable independence and quality of life.

They help maintain independence through the following:

Personal Care
Administering Medication
Preparing Meals
Helping with Household Tasks
Companionship
Day to Day Errands
And So Much More
Whether you need a carer on a daily or weekly basis, we can arrange your own package of care with a domiciliary carer, who will not only administer care but also become a close friend.

Home care provides the extra support you need to keep you where you want to be – at home. Domiciliary care services can provide a helping hand with household chores, personal care, or a companionship visit. All of our home care services are tailored around your needs and it is a great way to stay at home instead of going to a residential care home.

Our domiciliary care services are not just here to support you at home, but to support you to continue living your life, the way you want to. We’re able to take you to doctor’s appointments, to the shops, to meet up with your friends and family, to support you to live an independent life.

Our home care services allow you, and your family, the peace of mind needed to keep you in your home.

ALZHEIMER’S & DEMENTIA CARE

With many of us living longer, it is only natural that the number of older people living with dementia in the UK is also growing. In recognizing the increasing need for superior facilities for this group of service users, we have designed our home to provide the most comfortable, supportive, secure and safe environment.

Many small details that actually mean so much to the care and sense of well-being of residents living with dementia have been incorporated into the design of the home.

Specialist management and care support teams with expertise in mental health issues
Zero “self-harm” en-suite bathrooms
Hi definition bathroom sanitary ware to aid recognition and recall
Large personalized name/photo identification of bedrooms
Contained and secure gardens and outdoor patio areas
Wide and spacious public areas that provide “wander ways”
24 hour call alarm in every bedroom
The most important aspect of dementia care is that it should first and foremost be personal to the resident. At Utopia Care we make sure that, before anything else, we take the time to get to know each resident as an individual – their personal history, lifestyle and personality, defining and directing our care for who they are. We work very closely and value our relationship with each resident’s family in supporting their loved one’s care requirements.

The ability to maintain relationships with family and friends is fundamental to dementia care – our entire dementia care philosophy recognises the importance of making residents’ loved ones feel welcome whenever they visit.

ELDERLY CARE

Care comes in three main types so depending on what help with elderly care you need there is probably a solution that can work for your unique situation. We’ve listed a few examples of the sort of scenarios that we help people with regularly:

Light Housework – The first stage of care might be someone needing a bit of help around the house and some companionship for a few hours a week.
Daily Care – If you or your loved one is struggling to remember to take medication and cook meals then a carer visiting two to three times a day can help manage the situation.
24 Hour Care – If you or your loved one are requiring more intensive care and are no longer safe when left alone then a live-in carer can be much more cost-effective than a care home and allow you to remain in the home you love.
Getting older doesn’t have to mean a loss of independence or leaving the comfort of your home. With private elderly care in the home, you can remain in the place you feel most comfortable with some extra support. Elderly care in your own home is growing in popularity and with the help of direct payments from local councils, you can have more control over your own care.
Utopia Care is an introductory service that helps you to find the best private carers in your area. All the carers on our platform have already been background and DBS checked so that when you hire someone you can focus on personality over paperwork.

24/7 CARE

If your loved one has acute care needs, they may require support from a professional throughout the day and the night, this is 24-hour care.

When looking at care options it’s important to note there’s a slight difference between a carer being on call 24/7 and providing 24/7 care. The former is undertaken by a single live-in carer who fulfils the care recipient’s needs throughout daylight hours and sleeps at their property. The latter requires two carers, who are in constant contact with the care recipient, exchanging shifts to make sure continual care needs are met.

We’re fortunate to have a variety of care options available for us to provide better care for our loved ones, depending on their circumstances. Each variant offers a level of care particular to a specific need, such as care at home, elderly care, dementia care and companion care.
